Summary
SmartCare is aware that caregivers need to complete their tasks in a timely and efficient manner but at the same time have enough burden upon their shoulders. Thus, the line between the administrative and the caregiving aspects of the business is clearly drawn.
Per company’s policy, caregivers are not supposed to be information managers or schedulers: their mission can be considered accomplished when caregivers clock in on time, provide the scheduled services, check mark on screen how the visit is going, clock out when time is due, etc. Data entry and management is carried out by other personnel members.
The SmartCare desktop platform’s design is very appealing and has a high level of interactivity, it allows for interaction between managers and clients, feedback on caregivers from the clients, tracking of the caregivers’ documents status (whether their driver’s licenses, auto insurances, RN License, etc. have been renewed or are coming up on their date of expiration).
As a plus, the company has a rewarding system by which caregivers who accrue a given number of points can redeem them for gift cards through which they can enjoy movies at the theater, a cup of coffee at Starbucks, tunes to be downloaded, etc. This may at first seem unimportant, but it shows the company’s commitment to their workers. Apart from possibly boosting the caregivers’ performance, the rewarding system brings on a playful environment that gives extra points to this platform.

States Aggregator
Smartcare EVV is not a state aggregator. However, some states have chosen to mandate a specific vendor for providing the EVV component for the Medicaid client base. Smartcare has already built integrations with many of the most widely used EVV State vendors including Sandata, Netsmart (Tellus).

According to my experience with this app, it seems to me that it has very good tools in terms of EVV and Billing and a very interactive panel. Here I share my blog where I share my opinion. https://consultatlas.org/smartcare-evv/
